It has been 25 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone first arrived in cinemas. A whole generation grew up with it. Now a new generation is finally old enough to see it properly, which is to say loud, dark and on a screen far bigger than the lounge room telly. 🎬

To mark the anniversary, Village Cinemas at Sunshine Marketplace is bringing the film back for one time only, Thursday 20 August 2026 at 7:00pm.

If one film is not enough, Village Cinemas is running two back to back marathon days. Films one to four screen on Saturday 22 August from 12.30pm. Films five to eight screen on Sunday 23 August from 12.30pm. Clear your calendar, wear something comfortable and pace yourself on the popcorn. 🧙
